Product Overview
Memory loss, along with other indicators of cognitive decline associated with aging, are common conditions as people approach their golden years. While aging brings the benefits of wisdom and experience, it is also sometimes associated with mild forgetfulness, amnesia, and poor short-term recall of faces, names, numbers, and words—symptoms often referred to as “senior moments.”
Many people believe that memory loss occurs only as we age, but it can occur—often temporarily—at any age for a number of reasons.
However, science tells us that memory lapses and other signs of reduced brainpower are not inevitable. The brain is capable of producing new brain cells at any age. BF-7® is here to ensure that.
What's Novel about BF-7®?
Silk fibroin is an insoluble protein created by the larvae of Bombyx mori—better known as the silkworm—and other types of moths, such as Antheraea, Cricula, Samia and Gonometa, as well as spiders. Fibroin is the structural center of the raw silk that these insects manufacture in order to make their cocoons and spin their webs. When found in nature, silk fibroin is surrounded by a sticky material called sericin.
BF-7® is produced via enzymatic hydrolysis of the fibroin protein. Through this process, the tough inner core of the silk thread is transformed into a mix of peptides (short series of amino acids). The resulting material is then dried, producing BF-7® powder. BF-7® consists of bioactive peptides, which possess a unique amino acid profile. It has a mild, neutral flavor and good water solubility.
